Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas Condemns Israeli Attack on Qatar, Calls for Unified Arab-Islamic Response

Doha: Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has condemned the Israeli attack on Qatar, labeling it a violation of international law and a threat to regional stability. In an exclusive interview with the Qatar News Agency (QNA), Abbas emphasized the significance of the upcoming emergency Arab-Islamic summit in Doha, reaffirming that Qatar's security is integral to Arab and Islamic national security.

According to Union of OIC News Agencies, President Abbas highlighted the necessity for a unified Arab and Islamic response to the Israeli attack, which he described as a dangerous move undermining collective security. He stressed the importance of standing united against the aggression to protect regional stability.

Abbas further noted that the Doha summit underscores Qatar's esteemed position in the Arab and Islamic worlds, acknowledging its key mediation role alongside Egypt in addressing the aggression against Palestinians. He commended Qatar's efforts in advocating for humanitarian assistance and the release of hostages and prisoners, as well as defending the Palestinian cause on international platforms.

Concluding his remarks, the Palestinian president reiterated that targeting residential areas in Qatar is an attempt to weaken Arab and Islamic unity. He assured that the emergency summit in Doha is a testament to the resilience and cohesion of the nation in the face of division and aggression, affirming that Qatar does not stand alone.
