Cairo: Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Dr. Hani Sweilem convened a meeting with young and mid-level leaders of the second generation of Irrigation 2.0. Dr. Sweilem highlighted the Ministry's focus on nurturing the talents of the second generation and the commitment to preparing them for leadership roles in the future of the irrigation system. He discussed the importance of providing these emerging leaders with the necessary training to improve their skills in their respective areas of work.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the development program has been introduced gradually, selecting some of these leaders to engage in training courses, seminars, and field visits within Egypt. Additionally, opportunities are being provided for them to travel abroad for workshops and scientific visits to gain insights into new expertise and technologies related to water resources.
