Cairo: Minister of State for Military Production Salah Soliman Gombalat emphasized the ministry's commitment to enhancing the capabilities of its affiliated companies and improving work systems through the integration of artificial intelligence applications. This announcement was made during his inspection tour of "TUYA Technology," a company specializing in information systems, as part of the ministry's ongoing efforts to monitor project progress and development plans.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the minister's tour included visits to various departments such as the data center and call center, where he reviewed the progress of projects executed by the company in collaboration with state institutions via tender systems and direct assignments. The minister also assessed electronic systems like internal and external correspondence platforms, the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, and supplier management platforms, emphasizing the necessity for their continuous development to boost efficiency, accelerate information exchange, and enhance cybersecurity measures.
Gombalat noted TUYA Technology's achievement of obtaining cybersecurity certification from the National Telecom Regulatory Authority (NTRA), highlighting this as evidence of the company's adherence to high digital security standards. During the visit, he was also introduced to a prototype for a training management platform aimed at student summer training programs, underlining the importance of evaluating training course impacts and their alignment with labor market demands.
The minister further examined plans to upgrade the company's integrated ink production line, modernize call centers, and enhance technological infrastructure by collaborating with specialized foreign firms for the implementation of AI applications. He instructed the creation of an AI unit within the company, staffed by a specialized team responsible for integrating AI into information systems, data analysis, digital platforms, websites, and industrial operations.
Concluding his tour, the minister engaged with employees, soliciting their suggestions for improving the work environment and encouraging ongoing efforts to enhance performance and adopt advanced technologies.
