Kuwait city: Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport, Kamel el-Wazir, highlighted Egypt's major achievements in infrastructure development, industrial progress, and investment climate enhancement during his keynote address at the Egyptian-Kuwaiti Investment Forum, hosted by the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The forum marked the conclusion of his official visit to Kuwait.
According to State Information Service Egypt, Wazir emphasized the longstanding and historic ties between Egypt and Kuwait, underscoring the strength of relations at both the official and people-to-people levels. He noted that in recent years, Egypt has made significant strides toward building a modern, productive, and knowledge-based economy through comprehensive reform programs. These efforts included large-scale infrastructure development and an accelerated plan to revitalize the industrial sector and attract both domestic and foreign investment.
Wazir also affirmed the readiness of the official Egyptian delegation, which included representatives from 17 specialized infrastructure companies, to implement projects in Kuwait with competitive pricing, world-class quality, and within record timeframes.
For his part, Assistant Secretary-General of the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry Firas Mohammad al Oda stressed the strength of Egyptian-Kuwaiti ties and the Chamber's keen interest in boosting bilateral trade and Kuwaiti investments in Egypt, particularly in light of the major economic renaissance currently underway in Egypt.
Meanwhile, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kuwait Finance House (KFH) Hamad al Marzouq affirmed the importance of enhanced cooperation with Egypt in financing joint investment projects for both Egyptian and Kuwaiti entrepreneurs.
During the forum, the Egyptian corporate delegation presented successful infrastructure projects completed inside and outside Egypt, confirming their commitment to delivering development projects in Kuwait with the highest quality standards, competitive pricing and efficient timelines in line with Kuwait's national development plans.
