Cairo: Minister of Finance Ahmed Kouchouk on Monday, August 11th, 2025, reiterated the government's dedication to empowering the private sector, recognizing its potential for rapid growth and competitiveness within a conducive business environment.
According to State Information Service Egypt, Kouchouk highlighted during a meeting with Egyptian African Businessmen's Association Chairman Yousrey el Sharkawi and his delegation that expanding and accessing African markets is a top priority. The finance minister underscored the importance of expanding public-private partnership projects to support the continent's development trajectory.
Kouchouk also announced forthcoming structural and administrative reforms at the Egyptian Tax Authority to streamline taxpayer interactions. He mentioned anticipated improvements in customs outlets aimed at reducing costs and clearance times, further facilitating trade.
Additionally, the minister emphasized ongoing collaboration with the Ministry of Investment to enhance trade movements, stimulate exports, and provide comprehensive economic support to exporters.
