Minister of Awqaf Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa said his ministry will distribute meat of the Feeding Sukuk Project all year round after it was linked to Adahi Sukuk during Eidul Adha only.
Meat will be distributed to 100,000 of the most vulnerable families nationwide in cooperation and coordination with the Ministry of Social Solidarity, Gomaa added.
The awqaf minister made the remarks during a meeting he held after Friday prayers in Benha, north of Cairo, with Qalyubia Governor Abdel Hamid el Haggan, Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf Sobhi and Minister of Justice Omar Marwan.
The ministers’ visit to Qalyubia comes to mark the governorate’s national day.
Those receiving meat of the Feeding Sukuk Project include 5,000 families in Qalyubia, Gomaa noted.
