Tianjin: Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly attended an official dinner hosted by Chinese President Xi Jinping at the commencement of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Plus Summit in Tianjin. The summit is scheduled to run from August 31 to September 1.

According to State Information Service Egypt, President Xi addressed the attendees, discussing the challenges facing the current international system and the potential contribution of the SCO in tackling these issues. The dinner was attended by various leaders and heads of state and government, who later participated in a commemorative photo session.

During the summit's formal session on Monday, September 1, Prime Minister Madbouly is set to deliver Egypt's statement on behalf of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
