Egypt’s Hosseiny Wahdan Clinches Gold Medal at Sanda World Cup in China

China: Egypt's national wushu kung fu team player Hosseiny Wahdan won the gold medal at the Sanda World Cup that kicked off on Monday and wraps up Saturday in China. Wahdan secured first place and the gold medal in the 85 kg competition after defeating Russia's champion in the semifinals and Romania's champion in the final, both considered among the world's strongest Sanda fighters.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the gold medal marks Wahdan's third major international title following his gold medal at the 2025 World Games in China and another at the Islamic Solidarity Games held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The Sanda World Cup is regarded as one of the strongest global championships, featuring elite players from around the world.

Egypt is participating in the 11th edition of the Sanda World Cup with a delegation comprising four players; Hosseini Wahdan, Ahmed Abdel Hamid Shalaby, Ali Nasser Ahmed, and Menatallah Mohamed Hassan.
