Egypt Backs Yemen’s Leadership with Renewed Support

Aden: Egypt's Ambassador to Yemen, Ehab Abu Srei, reaffirmed Cairo's unwavering support for Yemen's legitimate government, represented by the Presidential Leadership Council and the internationally recognized administration. The announcement took place as Abu Srei presented his credentials to Rashad Mohammed Al Alimi, Chairman of Yemen's Presidential Leadership Council, at Al-Maashiq Palace in Aden, in the presence of the Yemeni Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the ambassador emphasized Egypt's commitment to all efforts directed at achieving a comprehensive and sustainable political resolution to the Yemeni crisis. Such a resolution aims to fulfill the aspirations of the Yemeni people and alleviate their humanitarian plight.

During the meeting, Abu Srei conveyed President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's greetings to Alimi, wishing for progress and prosperity for the Yemeni people. He also expressed Egypt's readiness to elevate bilateral relations to new heights. The ambassador further reviewed Egypt's stance on the Yemeni crisis.

In response, Alimi extended his greetings to President Sisi and the Egyptian government and people, acknowledging Egypt's ongoing support for Yemen. He underscored the historical and strategic bonds between the two nations and expressed optimism for enhanced cooperation across various fields for the mutual benefit of both countries.
