Cairo: Mr. Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, engaged in discussions with several Japanese Parliament members from the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Africa to explore enhancement possibilities in educational partnerships.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the Minister highlighted Egypt's dedication to expanding educational domains, including general, technical, and special education for individuals with disabilities. This initiative aims to strengthen partnerships with Japan, fostering joint cooperation through experience exchange and capacity building.
The Minister detailed the implementation of Japanese Tokkatsu activities in Egyptian-Japanese schools, noting their role in developing students' personalities and life skills. Additionally, he presented the Applied Technology Schools (ATS) model, which effectively links education with the labor market, equipping graduates with specialized skills.
Japanese Parliament members expressed their satisfaction with the Egyptian-Japanese schools project, considering it a symbol of the enduring friendship between the two nations. They acknowledged the significance of Egyptian civilization within Japanese society, noting its prominence in historical studies.
The parliamentarians, many of whom have visited Egypt, expressed their desire to support educational partnerships with the private sector, seeing it as a way to raise community awareness and ensure sustainability.
