‘Confrontation and Touring Theater’ Initiative Brings Cultural Support to Rafah

Rafah: In implementation of the directives of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and within the framework of Egypt's cultural and humanitarian role in supporting the Palestinian people, the Ministry of Culture organized the "Confrontation and Touring Theater" caravan to Rafah in North Sinai Governorate. The initiative, held under the slogan "Through Art and Culture, We Plant Hope for Gaza's Children," was conducted in collaboration with the North Sinai Governorate and several state institutions and civil society organizations.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the caravan's activities, which took place today at the Rafah Schools Complex-hosting approximately 2,500 children from primary and preparatory stages, including local Rafah residents and those from Gaza staying in Egypt-included a book exhibition and the distribution of books to all participating children.

It will continue its shows for children from the governorate and Egypt's guests from Gaza, encompassing a variety of artistic and cultural activities. These include theatrical performances, puppet shows, plastic arts workshops, book exhibitions, and handicrafts. More than 10,000 books are scheduled for distribution to participating children and families, in a symbolic gesture expressing Egypt's support for Gaza's children from the closest point on the border.
