Cabinet Discusses Egypt-Qatar Partnership and Election Follow-Up

Cairo: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli chaired the Cabinet's weekly meeting on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, focusing on political, economic, and social issues on the government's agenda. The meeting aimed to review the implementation of presidential directives within appropriate timeframes.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the Cabinet's agenda included the signing of a partnership between Egypt and Qatar to develop the Alam Al-Roum area in Marsa Matrouh. The meeting also involved follow-ups on the first phase of the 2025 House of Representatives elections. The Cabinet is monitoring efforts to meet citizens' needs, curb inflation, and increase spending on health, education, and social protection sectors.

The discussions extended to market regulation, ensuring food supply availability, and advancing national projects across governorates. The Cabinet considered enhancing social protection measures and supporting vulnerable citizens, alongside addressing education, healthcare, comprehensive development, investment, and increasing exports as part of Egypt's Vision 2030.

Further, the Cabinet reviewed progress on previous measures related to investment, industry, and exports. Topics included expanding agricultural land, making industrial lands available for investors, social safety nets, tax system improvements, and development across state sectors. The discussions emphasized supporting low-income groups and ensuring the provision of citizens' needs.
