Bahrain Supports Quartet’s Call for Peaceful Resolution in Sudan

Manama: The Kingdom of Bahrain has expressed its support for the Quartet's statement advocating for a peaceful resolution in the Republic of Sudan. The Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomed the joint declaration, which emphasizes the importance of preserving Sudan's sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity while promoting peace and stability in the region.

According to Union of OIC News Agencies, the Ministry underscored Bahrain's support for the efforts made by the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the United States of America to bring an end to the ongoing conflict in Sudan. Bahrain called on the warring parties to agree to a humanitarian truce, facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid, protect civilians and infrastructure, and engage in negotiations based on the "Jeddah Declaration" and relevant international resolutions and conventions. The Ministry emphasized that these actions align with the aspirations of the Sudanese people for peace, stability, and sustainable prosperity.
