Al-Azhar Grand Imam Ahmed el Tayyeb phoned Thursday night member of the Council of Senior Scholars in Al-Azhar Ahmed Omar Hashem to check on his health condition.
Hasham suffered a fracture in the femur bone, as a result of which he is undergoing a quick surgery at Dar Al Fouad Hospital.
During the phone call, Tayyeb wished Hashem a very speedy recovery and recuperation.
