Yerevan: Egypt's newly-appointed Ambassador in Yerevan, Amal Afifi, has presented her credentials to Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Khachaturyan commended the relations between Armenia and Egypt, emphasizing Armenia's desire to enhance cooperation with Egypt in multiple areas. The Armenian leader also extended his congratulations to Egypt on Khaled El-Enany's election as Director-General of UNESCO, highlighting the strong relations and coordination between the two nations both bilaterally and within international forums.

The Egyptian ambassador expressed her commitment to strengthening relations between Egypt and Armenia, particularly in the economic and trade sectors, recognizing the potential both countries hold. Afifi also appreciated Armenia's participation in the Peace Summit held in Sharm El-Sheikh.
