9th Egyptian Aid Convoy Heads to Gaza Through Rafah Crossing

Rafah: Egypt's ninth humanitarian aid convoy on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, headed to the Gaza Strip through the Rafah border crossing southeast of the enclave. The convoy is part of an ongoing effort to provide essential supplies to the region.According to State Information Service Egypt, the initiative "Zad Al-Ezzah - From Egypt to Gaza" includes dozens of trucks loaded with supplies such as flour, milk, and other foodstuffs. These resources are crucial for addressing the urgent needs of over two million Palestinians residing in Gaza. The Egyptian aid trucks were seen lining up at the Rafah border crossing before proceeding into Gaza. This latest delivery is a part of Egypt's efforts to alleviate the humanitarian crisis in the region, which has been exacerbated by the restrictions imposed by Israeli forces. The delivery of aid is occurring in the context of severe restrictions, as Israeli forces closed all border crossings to Gaza on March 2. This action followed the end of the first phase of a Gaza ceas efire agreement, with no new truce deal reached. Tensions further escalated when Israeli forces violated the ceasefire on March 18 with airstrikes and resumed ground operations in previously evacuated areas.
