President Sisi inquires after King Salman’s health

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi inquired after the health of King Salman bin Abdel Aziz who had been admitted to hospital to undergo medical tests.

The Saudi kingdom’s Royal Diwan said on Sunday the king entered King Faisal Specialist Hospital in the coastal city of Jeddah on Saturday to conduct some medical examinations.

President Sisi expressed his good wishes to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques during a telephone call he made to him, presidential spokesman Bassam Rady said Monday.

The king thanked the president for his kindness and sincere wishes which reflect the depth and uniqueness of the solid and long-standing relationship between Egypt and Saudi Arabia and the strong bonds between their peoples, he added.

President El-Sisi receives the Commander of CENTCOM

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received  on Monday 9/5/2022 Commander of US Central Command (CENTCOM) General Michael E. Kurilla, in the presence of Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production General Mohamed Zaki, in addition to the Head of the US Military Cooperation Office, and Political Adviser to the Commander of the US Central Command, and the Chargé d’Affaires of the U.S. Embassy in Cairo.

 

The Spokesman for the Presidency stated that President El-Sisi welcomed the Commander of the US Central Command to Egypt. The President stressed the importance of joint military cooperation between Egypt and the United States within the framework of the longstanding strategic relations between both countries.

 

 He confirmed that they represent a fundamental pillar for maintaining peace and security in the Middle East, particularly in light of the circumstances it faces.

 

 This requires concerted efforts to confront the challenges threatening security and stability, foremost of which is terrorism that necessitates exerting collective efforts to combat it. In this regard, the President reviewed Egypt’s efforts at all strategic levels to uproot this scourge.

 

The Commander of the US Central Command expressed his honor to meet with the President, stressing his keenness for Egypt to be the first stop of his foreign visits to the region since taking office, and confirming the full extent of US solidarity with Egypt in its efforts to combat terrorism as the most dangerous common challenge facing the region and threatening its security.

 

General Kurilla also underlined the American administration’s reliance on Egypt’s active and pivotal role in the Middle East and North Africa, which stems from President El-Sisi’s broad experience and deep understanding of the conditions and challenges in this key region of the world, which are embodied in Egypt’s efforts to strengthen regional peace and security.

This underscores the need to continue the joint Egyptian-American military cooperation and developing strategic relations between the two countries.

 

The Commander of CENTCOM also offered his condolences to President El-Sisi for the men of the Armed Forces who were martyred as a result of the treacherous terrorist attack that took place recently in Sinai.

 

The Spokesman added that the meeting discussed ways to advance military and security cooperation between Egypt and the United States, as well as their cooperation in the areas of combating terrorism, joint training programs and border security.

It also tackled the latest developments regarding a number of crises and files in the region, especially the security of the Red Sea. The two sides agreed to continue regular bilateral consultation and coordination on issues of common interest.

Sisi orders coordination among all state bodies to implement ‘Decent Life’ projects

Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Monday9/5/2022 called for maintaining coordination and co-operation among the state’s bodies concerned to implement national projects related to the “Decent Life” initiative to develop the Egyptian Countryside.

Sisi’s remarks came during his meeting with Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli and Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities Assem el Gazzar, Presidential Spokesman Bassam Radi said.

The meeting reviewed the executive situation of the housing ministry’s projects included in the presidential initiative in the sectors of sewage, water, and treatment plants, as well as service projects and the Sakan Karim “Decent Housing” project.

The president also followed up on the ongoing projects to develop Historic Cairo, in addition to the development efforts of Maspero Triangle and Mamsha Ahl Masr Walkway (The Walk of the People of Egypt), according to the spokesman.

Presidential Pardon Committee welcomes NTA’s call for national dialogue

The Presidential Pardon Committee welcomed the National Training Academy (NTA’s) call for holding a serious national dialogue that brings together all political powers without exclusion.

In a statement released on Tuesday 10/5/2022, the committee announced that it would take part in this dialogue called for by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.

The committee noted that it would issue soon a list of inmates who will be released soon.

Dante Labs receives grant by Italian government to pilot revolutionary CE-IVD, clinical whole genome sequencing-based Citizen Test for a G7 country, starting a new era in clinical genomics

NEW YORK, May 10, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Dante Labs, a global leader in genomics and precision medicine, is pleased to announce the Italian Ministry of Economic Development has selected Dante to develop and pilot the first fully-CE-IVD, clinically approved whole genome sequencing (WGS) test for the citizens of Italy to be named the Dante Citizen Test.

The goal of the project is to introduce clinical whole genome sequencing with clinical reports in the standard medical care of the country’s hospitals and healthcare system and is the first step to introduce whole genome sequencing in the national healthcare system of a European and G7 country. The test will leverage Dante’s proprietary Extensa software for reporting, interpretation and analysis of whole genome and medical data.

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi expressed hopes for deeper US counter-terrorism ties during talks with a top American general on Monday, following a deadly weekend attack by militants in the Sinai peninsula, a US military official said on Monday. SINGAPORE, May 10, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — Procter & Gamble (NYSE:PG) today announced new commitments aimed toward advancing Equality & Inclusion across Asia Pacific, the Middle East, and Africa, at its fourth annual #WeSeeEqual summit for the region. The event saw participation from distinguished advocates and personalities from the private and public sectors who came together to discuss the challenges that society faces on equality and inclusion, and how different stakeholders can accelerate progress in the new normal.
