Tenth Aid Convoy Reaches Gaza Strip Through Rafah Land Port

Rafah: Humanitarian aid trucks have begun entering the Gaza Strip through the Rafah land port, heading to the Karam Abu Salem crossing, southeast of the Strip, where they are inspected by the Israeli forces before being allowed into the enclave.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the trucks of the tenth aid convoy, carrying food and relief materials, lined up early on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at the yard of the Rafah land port in preparation to move towards the Gaza Strip. This initiative is part of the "Zad Al-Izzah. from Egypt to Gaza" campaign, aiming to provide crucial relief to the Palestinian population in the region.

This initiative is a continuation of Egypt's efforts to address the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip, which impacts over two million Palestinians due to the ongoing conflict. Amal Imam, Executive Director of the Egyptian Red Crescent, highlighted that Egypt's response began promptly, with the first convoy dispatched on October 8, 2023. Since then, the relief efforts have persisted without pause.

The comprehensive aid effort has seen more than 36,000 trucks delivering over half a million tons of food, medical, and relief supplies. In press statements, Imam emphasized the continuous efforts of the Egyptian Red Crescent teams, whether operating within logistics centers in the city of Arish or coordinating with local and international partners.

Imam also acknowledged Egypt's role in humanitarian diplomacy, fostering cooperation with the international community to ensure the safe passage of aid. She praised the unified efforts of Egyptian civil society, particularly their collaboration with the National Alliance for Civil Development Work. This alliance has recently dispatched its 11th aid convoy, comprising 200 trucks filled with food supplies.
