Cairo: Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation Alaa Farouk asserted that Al Zahraa station for breeding purebred Arabian horses is a unique national and historical landmark. Farouk said that the state places great importance on its development and on preserving its rare breeds of purebred Arabian horses, due to their immense cultural and economic value.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the ongoing development efforts aim to safeguard the station's historical significance while adding a modern and refined character to its facilities. This statement came during Farouk's inspection tour of the Al Zahraa Station for Purebred Arabian Horses, where he reviewed the progress of comprehensive development works being carried out in line with directives from President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.

The tour also focused on the achievements made so far toward reviving the station and restoring its glory. Farouk inspected various parts of the station, including open areas, arenas, stables, and shelter buildings, all of which are undergoing upgrades according to the latest international standards.

He also reviewed the newly constructed canopies, palm tree plantations, internal road paving, tree trimming, and the installation of irrigation systems and other infrastructure improvements. Minister Farouk also visited the station's veterinary hospital and instructed that a complete overhaul be carried out to equip it with the latest medical equipment and technologies, thereby ensuring high-quality veterinary care for the horses housed at the facility.

Farouk underlined that the ultimate goal is to bring back Al Zahraa Station to its leading global status in Arabian horse breeding and to position it as a prominent tourist destination. He stressed the importance of adhering to the highest standards of quality across all development phases and confirmed that he will continue to closely monitor the project to ensure it is completed on schedule.
