Cairo: Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Ayman Ashour announced that the state, under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, has adopted an ambitious vision aimed at enhancing the quality of education and improving services provided to people.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Ashour stated that since the launch of the National Strategy for Higher Education in March 2023, followed by the National Innovation Strategy, Artificial Intelligence (AI) has become a national priority. Egypt currently boasts more than 100 faculties of computers and artificial intelligence, with over 50,000 students enrolled.

While delivering a speech at the opening of the international conference on AI at Cairo University, Ashour remarked that the conference represents a promising future for AI. He noted that the conference underscores the role of universities in advancing AI and enhancing cooperation with industrial institutions.

Ashour stressed that holding the conference is a significant step toward localizing technology and demonstrates Egypt's commitment to digital transformation.
