Social solidarity min. opens ‘Diarna’ handicrafts exhibition in New Alamein city

Social Solidarity Minister Nevine el Qabbag, Sports and Youth Minister Ashraf Sobhi and Matrouh Governor Khaled Shoeib opened on Friday “Diarna” exhibition for handicrafts in New Alamein city.

The one-month-long expo is stretched over an area of 3,000 meters, grouping a large number of exhibitors, who display various products from different governorates.

Qabbag was also keen on inspecting the expo’s pavilions and listening to the exhibitors’ demands, noting that Diarna is being held in New Alamein city for the first time.

She further noted that the Social Solidarity Ministry, in cooperation with the relevant ministries, are keen on holding the exhibition periodically, thanking Shoeib for his support and encouraging small-scale producers.

The coming editions of Diarna will be held in the governorates of South Sinai and the Red Sea, she said, underlining that the ministry will increase the number of annual exhibitions nationwide from 12 to 20.
