SHARJAH, 4th May, 2023 (WAM) The Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA) has won the Arab Digital Government Award 2023 for the categories of social responsibility and social media accounts, which was announced by the International Excellence Foundation (IEF), which based in Florida – USA, and is concerned with promoting the digital transformation of governments. This was during an honouring ceremony held in Dubai, attended by a number of top officials from the United Nations and International Excellence Foundation and a number of leaders and representatives of various government entities. Majid Al Shamsi, Director of the General Department of Institutional Support at the Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA), confirmed that the authority’s victory in two categories of this international award is a new achievement added to the authority during the past two years and a culmination of its continuous efforts. He added that the authority has begun implementing a comprehensive plan to encourage employees and community groups to participate in initiatives, adhere to social responsibility, develop social networking sites and provide distinguished content, in accordance with international standards for social media accounts.
