Doha: President of the Republic of the Comoros, Azali Assoumani, emphasized the non-negotiable nature of national sovereignty in response to recent Israeli actions against Qatar. He stated that the aggressions extend beyond Qatar, targeting the broader security of the Arab and Islamic nations.

According to Union of OIC News Agencies, during his address at the emergency Arab-Islamic summit in Doha, President Assoumani condemned the attack as a serious violation of Qatari sovereignty, international law, and the United Nations Charter. He underlined the incident as an affront to Qatar’s diplomatic efforts, notably its role in mediating peace in Palestine, alongside Egypt and other partners.

President Assoumani reiterated support for Qatar, highlighting the importance of protecting mediators to ensure the success of peace processes. He affirmed that safeguarding the sovereignty of nations remains a fundamental principle for the stability of the region.
