President El-Sisi Discusses Bilateral Relations and Middle East Stability with Algerian Counterpart

Cairo: President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi engaged in a telephone conversation with Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, focusing on enhancing bilateral ties and regional stability.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the discussion involved preparations for the upcoming Joint Higher Committee meeting, set to occur in Cairo next month, under the leadership of each country's prime ministers. Both leaders emphasized the importance of leveraging this platform to advance cooperation across various sectors.

The dialogue also covered regional issues, reflecting strong alignment between Egypt and Algeria on international responsibilities and the need for stability in the Middle East. President El-Sisi briefed President Tebboune on Egypt's efforts to end the Gaza conflict and the progress of U.S. President Donald Trump's plan. The conversation also touched on Egypt's facilitation of negotiations in Sharm El-Sheikh involving Hamas, Israel, Qatar, and the United States.

President El-Sisi underscored the significance of the American plan and the international acknowledgment of Palestinian statehood, advocating for a peaceful political process towards a two-state solution. President Tebboune praised Egypt's efforts to cease hostilities and deliver aid, expressing Algeria's support for measures to alleviate Palestinian suffering and opposing the displacement of Palestinians from Gaza.

Additionally, President Tebboune extended greetings to President El-Sisi, the Egyptian populace, and the Armed Forces on the 52nd anniversary of the October 6th victories. President El-Sisi reciprocated with gratitude, acknowledging Algeria's vital role in the October War, which illustrates its commitment to Arab causes.
