PM Reviews Progress of ‘DARA’ Project for Provincial Capitals Development

Qalyubia: Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli highlighted the important role of the "DARA" project for the development of provincial capitals and major cities, which comes within the framework of the presidential initiative "Housing for All Egyptians." The project aims to establish 500,000 housing units that meet the needs of various segments of the Egyptian population.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the project addresses urbanization challenges by providing adequate housing with comprehensive infrastructure and a wide range of services, including commercial and recreational areas. The statements came during the Prime Minister's inspection tour, along with his accompanying delegation, of the urban development project "DARA" in the Agricultural Research Zone "D", at the start of his visit to Qalyubia Governorate to follow up on the implementation progress of several development and service projects.

During the tour, the Prime Minister was briefed on the progress of the development of provincial capitals and major cities project in Qalyubia, which is being implemented across five sites in the governorate. These sites include 281 buildings, comprising nearly 16,000 housing units for social, middle-income, and investment housing.

While touring the Agricultural Research Zone "D", Madbouli inspected a model housing unit and listened to a presentation by the project's executive director, who explained that the project spans an area of 47 feddans. The project also includes several service buildings and facilities.

At the end of the tour, the Prime Minister praised the location of the residential buildings in the Agricultural Research Zone "D" and the quality of construction and finishing works. He emphasized the need to expand green spaces and improve landscaping, in addition to providing more designated parking areas.
