PM follows up on preparations for COP27

Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli underlined his keenness on following up on preparations for the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP27), due to be held in Sharm El Sheikh in November.

He said the event will crown Egypt’s efforts over the past years.

He made the remarks during a meeting on Thursday with Environment Minister Yasmine Fouad, her adviser Karim Morsi and director of major projects department of the Armed Forces Engineering Authority Ahmed Azazi.

Azazi said the authority is implementing 10 projects in Sharm El Sheikh, noting that coordination is underway with the Environment Ministry to hold an exhibition known as “green zone” on the fringe of the COP27 for civil societies and companies to present their projects.
