PM Attends Opening of TransMEA Conference, Exhibition

Cairo: On behalf of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, the Prime Minister attended the opening ceremony of the sixth edition of the TransMEA Smart Transport and Logistics Exhibition and Conference on Sunday, November 9th, 2025.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the event, themed 'Industry and Transport Together for Sustainable Development,' spans three days and gathers local and international companies from 30 countries. It serves as a regional platform to showcase the latest innovations and smart solutions in the industrial and transport sectors.

The conference will focus on exploring opportunities within the Egyptian market and strategies to support exports. It will highlight advanced industrial technologies aimed at enhancing product quality, increasing local content, and connecting component manufacturers with producers of finished goods.

A key feature of the event is the launch of the Egypt Digital Industrial Platform by the Ministry of Industry. This platform aims to automate the allocation of industrial land and units, streamline the issuance of licenses, and simplify procedures across Egypt's governorates.

The opening ceremony was attended by Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport Kamel el Wazir, Minister of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation Rania el Mashat, along with several cabinet members and senior state officials.

The timing of TransMEA 2025 holds significant importance as Egypt undergoes a transformation in local manufacturing and transport infrastructure. Industry has become a key driver of growth, contributing to local production, achieving self-sufficiency, and boosting the competitiveness of Egyptian exports.
