PM Attends MoU Signing to Expand Turathna Abroad

Cairo: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli attended the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the Arab Tourism Organization and Egypt's Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise Development Agency (MSMEDA). This event took place during the seventh edition of the "Turathna 2025" exhibition for handicrafts and heritage products, which was held under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the agreement was signed by MSMEDA CEO Bassel Rahmy and Bandar bin Fahd Al-Fehaid, President of the Arab Tourism Organization. The MoU aims to organize "Turathna" exhibitions in other Arab countries, providing artisans with increased access to regional markets and opportunities to export their products.

The initiative focuses on supporting small businesses involved in traditional crafts while promoting Arab cultural identity. The two parties have agreed to cooperate in organizing events, exchanging expertise in tourism and marketing, hosting workshops, and compiling databases of artisans. MSMEDA will offer financial and technical support to entrepreneurs, whereas the Arab Tourism Organization will assist in coordinating participation from member states and promoting the exhibitions through its tourism platforms.
