OPPOSITION MPS HEAD TO WASHINGTON

A delegation representing the lawmakers of the opposition forces has left to Washington for meetings over the situation in south Lebanon and Gaza, the presidential juncture, the Syrian refugees’ files, and financial affairs.

The MPs are set for talks at the White House, the Department of State, the Department of Treasury, studies centers, the International Monetary Fund, in addition to meetings with Lebanese-US groups.

The delegation comprises MP Michel Mouawad representing “Tajaddod” bloc, MP Nadim Gemayel representing “Kataeb” bloc, MP George Okais from the “Strong Republic” bloc, and MPs Mark Daou and Waddah Sadek from the “Change Coalition” bloc.

The delegation is also set for talks with Former Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs of the United States David Hale.
