Cairo: Minister of Irrigation and Water Resources Hani Sewilam on Friday 8/8/2025 had a meeting with senior ministry officials to assess the status of the irrigation and drainage systems, as well as pumping stations, in the Qalabshu.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the meeting focused on evaluating the current condition and efficiency of the irrigation and drainage infrastructure in the region. The officials discussed the functionality of the existing systems and addressed any potential issues that might affect agricultural productivity in Daqahlia.

The assessment aimed to identify necessary improvements and upgrades to enhance water management and ensure the sustainability of water resources in the area. The officials also explored strategies to optimize the performance of pumping stations to support the agricultural sector effectively.
