A total of 3.524 million decisions were issued during 2022 to treat patients at state expense, at a total cost of EGP 14.516 billion, the Health and Population Ministry said on Friday.
The move came as part of unremitting efforts exerted by the State to alleviate the suffering of patients, through providing medical services free of charge.
The decisions covered patients suffering from blood diseases, tumors and other diseases, said Health Ministry Spokesman Hossam Abdel Ghaffar.
