The Health Ministry announced the success of the “door knocking” campaign under which 10,598,774 people were vaccinated against the coronavirus pandemic since March 7.
Health Ministry Spokesman Hossam Abdel Ghaffar said the third stage of the campaign focused on the governorates of Cairo, Daqahlia, Gharbiya and Kafr el Sheikh.
The trial stage covered Menoufia governorate while the second stage covered Alexandria, Giza, Qalubiya, Assiut and Beni Suef governorates.
As many as 13,700 members of the medical teams have been deployed in villages of the targeted governorates to provide vaccinations.
