The Cabinet’s media center on Saturday 11/02/2023 refuted reports claiming that the government would form a committee to regulate electricity costs every 3 or 6 months, similar to fuel pricing.
The Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy categorically denies such rumours, it added.
The prices set for electricity segments, which have been in force since July 2021, will not change in line with a decision by the Cabinet to postpone any rise in electricity bills for consumers, the media center said.
It advised citizens to report any rumours or incorrect information via WhatsApp (01155508688 -01155508851) or email ([email protected]) 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
