Foreign Minister Commends House of Representatives for Collaborative Efforts in National Interests

Cairo: Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration, and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty has expressed his appreciation for the collaboration between his ministry and the House of Representatives in advancing national interests and supporting Egyptian citizens both domestically and internationally.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Abdelatty made these remarks during a meeting with Speaker of the House of Representatives Hanafi Gebali. The meeting took place on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, where Abdelatty extended his congratulations to Gebali on the completion of the current legislative session and the achievements accomplished during this period.

Abdelatty emphasized the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' dedication to participating in specialized committee sessions to discuss the ministry's various initiatives, explain Egypt's foreign policy, and outline consular efforts aimed at assisting Egyptians living abroad. He highlighted his ongoing directives to ministry sectors to maintain strong cooperation with the parliamentary committees within the House of Representatives. This collaboration is vital for exchanging views and addressing regional and international challenges, as well as focusing on priority issues concerning the welfare of Egyptians overseas and national development.

Moreover, he underscored the significance of parliamentary diplomacy as a tool to bolster national positions on regional and international matters. Abdelatty also discussed the ministry's comprehensive preparations for organizing the House of Representatives elections for Egyptians abroad. These elections are scheduled for November 7 and 8 and will be conducted across 139 diplomatic missions worldwide.
