FM: Africa is World’s Development Frontier in Coming Decades

Cairo: Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty highlighted Africa's potential as a development frontier due to its rich resources and vibrant nature. Despite existing challenges, Africa remains a pivotal player poised to leverage its abundant resources for a prosperous future.

According to State Information Service Egypt, during the fifth edition of the Aswan Forum for Sustainable Peace and Development, Abdelatty emphasized Africa's unique position as the only continent expected to double its population by 2050. With a rapidly growing middle class and increasing purchasing power, Africa is set to become a central focus for global development in the coming decades.

Abdelatty outlined that this year's forum agenda includes vital discussions on forming creative partnerships to tackle resource scarcity. Additionally, the agenda addresses emerging global issues such as artificial intelligence and its potential civilian applications in sectors like food security, irrigation, and modern manufacturing methods.
