Finance Minister: Robust Partnership with Private Sector Enhances Financial Performance

Cairo: Minister of Finance Ahmed Kouchouk on Saturday hailed the state's financial performance during the fiscal year 2024-2025, thanks to the strong partnership with the private sector. The government is working on easing burdens on citizens and investors within an integrated vision for growth and development, the minister said during a press conference that took place to review the financial performance outcomes for FY 2024-2025.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the state's economic, financial, and investment indicators are showing notable improvement, enabling the government to channel additional resources towards key services. Kouchouk emphasized that public expenditure was not constrained; rather, spending was increased on health, education, social protection programs, and other vital sectors to serve people.

He highlighted the effective role of the Finance Ministry in driving economic, industrial, and export activity, as well as in encouraging private sector growth through more targeted and stimulating initiatives. "The government has facilitated the work of its business partners by easing tax burdens. With the private sector's trust and responsiveness, revenues have doubled without the imposition of new taxes," the minister stated.
