Finance Minister Mohamed Ma’eit has underscored efforts exerted for Egypt to go digital despite global economic challenges.
Indeed, this adds pressure on the state budget, Ma’eit admitted in a statement Monday, noting, however, that digital transformation is meant to bring up a generation of young innovators who are capable of operating electronic systems at the different sectors.
The aim is to prepare youth to lead comprehensive and sustainable development efforts in Egypt to turn it into a developed country, the minister said.
Work is also underway to promote Egyptian IT exports, Ma’eit added, noting that this would contribute to enhancing the structure of the national economy.
