Cairo: The Egyptian Red Crescent (ERC) has launched a convoy of 100 humanitarian aid trucks carrying more than 1,200 tons of food supplies to Gaza as Israel announced 'tactical pauses' starting Sunday, July 27th, 2025. According to State Information Service Egypt, the ERC posted photos of the convoy, dubbed 'Zad Al-Izzah (Provision of Honor): From Egypt to Gaza,' moving toward the enclave. The aid comprises around 840 tons of flour and 450 tons of various food baskets, the ERC stated. The trucks will reach the enclave from Egypt through the Karam Abu Salem crossing, and the aid is bound for southern Gaza, the statement read. The ERC highlighted that more than 35,000 aid trucks carrying over 500,000 tons of aid have arrived in Gaza since the start of the Israeli war. Assistance has included food, water, medical supplies, medicines, and essential items such as personal hygiene products, baby formula, and diapers, along with ambulances and fuel trucks.
