Egypt’s SCZONE Secures $10.2 Billion in Investments Over 38 Months

Cairo: Egypt's General Authority for the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE) has signed contracts for 311 projects over the past 38 months, with total investments reaching $10.2 billion, according to Chairman Walid Gamal El-Dien.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Gamal El-Dien discussed SCZONE's strategic vision during the main session "Investment Horizons and Growth Strategies" at the Egypt-Bahrain Business Forum in Cairo. He emphasized SCZONE's aim to become a national project and an integrated hub for investment, manufacturing, and logistics.

Gamal El-Dien highlighted that SCZONE has attracted investors from over 20 countries, demonstrating international confidence in its potential as a center for cooperation and sustainable development. The zone is supported by six seaports and four fully operational industrial zones, targeting 21 sectors, including pharmaceuticals, automotive, rail components, textiles, and renewable energy.

He further explained that SCZONE offers a range of incentives such as customs and tax exemptions, availability of skilled labor, and digital services through a one-stop-shop system. These measures are designed to ensure a competitive and sustainable business environment.
