Egypt’s Ambassador in Copenhagen Karim Sherif and his wife opened the special exhibition “Tell el-Amarna– City of the Sun God”, which was erected on the sidelines of the Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek museum in Denmark.

The exhibition comes as part of the Egyptian Embassy’s efforts to promote the winter tourism season.

It also coincides with Egypt’s celebrations of King Tutankhamun’s centenary, according to a statement released by the Foreign Ministry on its Facebook page on Friday 27/01/2023.

The ambassador and his wife toured the exhibition, which runs till June 18.

It comprises a collection of artifacts dating back to the era of King Akhenaten, Queen Nefertiti and King Tutankhamun, as well as some remnants from the city of Tell el-Amarna, which were discovered later in the temples after being recycled during the reign of King Ramses II.
