Egyptian-Turkish Naval Exercise “Friendship Sea-2025” Concludes in Turkish Waters

Cairo: The joint Egyptian-Turkish naval exercise "Friendship Sea-2025" wrapped up on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, after several days of drills within Turkish territorial waters. This exercise was meant to enhance military cooperation between Egypt and Turkey. According to State Information Service Egypt, the exercise included numerous workshops to unify operational concepts among participating personnel. Special forces from both countries conducted live-fire drills with different weapons, demonstrating combat training techniques, accuracy, and professionalism in dealing with targets. The participating forces also carried out maritime training activities, including exchanging helicopters on the decks of naval vessels, conducting boarding and inspection operations of suspicious ships, and several sailing formations that reflected the participants' ability to take precise and rapid positions. The training aims to exchange expertise in securing maritime operational areas against various threats. The final phas e of the exercise was attended by senior commanders from the Egyptian and Turkish navies.
