Lilongwe: Egyptian Ambassador to Malawi, Rasha Hamdy, met with the new Malawian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. George Chaponda. Rasha Hamdy handed him a congratulatory message from the Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Badr Abdelatty, on the occasion of his assumption of office and extended an invitation for him to visit Egypt at the earliest opportunity.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the meeting addressed proposed areas of cooperation between Egypt and Malawi, primarily focusing on infrastructure, particularly the construction of dams and roads. Ambassador Hamdy explained that Egyptian private and public sector companies are keen to explore available opportunities.

Ambassador Hamdy also emphasized that Egypt is keen on registering Egyptian medicines in the Malawian market, highlighting the effectiveness of Egyptian medicines and their availability at competitive prices.
