Cairo: Egypt on Monday, October 20, 2025, welcomed a ceasefire agreement reached between Pakistan and Afghanistan, which also includes the establishment of a mechanism aimed at fostering lasting peace and stability between the two neighboring countries.

According to State Information Service Egypt, in a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Expatriates expressed hope that the agreement would help end border tensions, stop bloodshed, and promote sustainable security and stability in the region.

The statement reaffirmed Egypt's support for all initiatives and efforts aimed at resolving regional disputes through peaceful means, emphasizing the importance of diplomacy and constructive dialogue as the foundation for conflict resolution.
