Minister of Local Development Mahmoud Shaarawi on Saturday 25/09/2021 discussed with a delegation from the World Bank (WB) the implementation of a project aimed at promoting air quality management system in Greater Cairo.

 

Talks also tackled ways of implementing a number of projects and programs, which contribute to raising the living standards of citizens nationwide said Shaaraw.

 

The political leadership and the Cabinet are highly appreciating efforts exerted by the WB in Egypt, he said.

 

The Egyptian official commended achievements by the local development program in Upper Egypt in general and in the governorates of Sohag and Qena in particular, which is carried out by the government in cooperation with the Bank.

 

The program was listed as the best practice that would achieve 2030 sustainable development goals, added Shaarawi.

 

The WB delegation asserted the ministry is playing an important role in the project of improving air quality in the Greater Cairo.
