Cairo: Egypt will begin activating a $7.5 billion package of direct investments from Qatar, Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly said, describing the move as part of efforts to deepen economic partnership between the two countries.
According to State Information Service Egypt, Madbouly informed a Cabinet meeting that the decision followed talks in Doha with Qatari counterpart Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani. The discussions between the two leaders focused on closer cooperation in trade and investment.
Madbouly further mentioned that Egypt would continue engaging with Qatari investors to showcase opportunities in sectors ranging from infrastructure and industry to services. He highlighted that new incentives would be offered to attract more capital.
