Cairo: Egypt has successfully recovered 13 looted antiquities: 10 from the UK and 3 from Germany as part of a comprehensive strategy adopted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates to restore the country's smuggled heritage items. The recovered artifacts span different eras of ancient Egyptian history, the foreign ministry said in a statement on Sunday.According to State Information Service Egypt, the recovered items include a limestone funerary stela from the New Kingdom, a small amulet, a fragment of a bronze crown, a beaded funerary mask, several black stone funerary amulets, a skull, a mummified hand, and an amulet symbolizing life in ancient Egyptian civilization. This recovery initiative aligns with Egypt's ongoing efforts to protect and preserve its cultural heritage, following directives from President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates is leading the efforts to reclaim these artifacts, highlighting Egypt's dedi cation to reclaiming its historical treasures.
