Egypt Stresses Commitment to Middle East Peace Amid Reports of ‘Greater Israel’

Cairo: The Arab Republic of Egypt has reiterated its commitment to establishing peace in the Middle East, responding to reports from some Israeli media outlets concerning the concept of "Greater Israel."

According to State Information Service Egypt, Egypt has demanded clarifications regarding these reports due to their potential to provoke instability in the region. The reports are seen as a rejection of the pursuit of peace and an insistence on escalation, which contradicts the aspirations of regional and international parties seeking security and stability in the Middle East.

Egypt emphasizes that the only path to achieving lasting peace is through renewed negotiations and the cessation of hostilities in Gaza. This process should ultimately lead to the establishment of a Palestinian state based on the June 4, 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, in alignment with the two-state solution and relevant international resolutions.
