Egypt Seeks to Integrate People with Disabilities into Labor Market

Cairo: The Labor Ministry in Egypt has taken a significant step towards integrating people with disabilities into the workforce by signing a cooperation protocol with Misr El Kheir Foundation and Emara Egypt for Scientific Research and Community Development. The agreement, signed on Thursday, August 7, 2025, aims to enhance employment opportunities for this segment of the population.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the signing ceremony was attended by Labor Minister Mohamed Gobran. The agreement is in line with President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's directives and Egypt's 2030 Vision, focusing on providing specialized training programs to equip people with disabilities with skills that align with the demands of the labor market.

Under the terms of the agreement, the Labor Ministry will be responsible for identifying target groups, providing training facilities, and securing job placements. Meanwhile, Misr El Kheir Foundation will offer the financial support necessary to implement these programs effectively. Emara Egypt will take charge of developing the training curricula, supplying instructors, and providing employment opportunities.

The three parties have committed to leveraging their existing infrastructure and digital resources to streamline the implementation process, ensuring efficient data sharing and coordination to achieve their objectives.
