New york: Egypt is keen to strengthen bilateral cooperation with Guinea in all fields and support its development plans, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty said. The top diplomat gave the remarks during talks with his Guinean counterpart Morissanda Kouyat© on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
According to State Information Service Egypt, Abdelatty reiterated Cairo's commitment to encouraging Egyptian investment in the Guinean market and boosting trade between the two countries. The two ministers discussed ways to deepen bilateral relations and expand cooperation in political, economic, and developmental fields.
Abdelatty emphasized Egypt's desire to elevate its historic ties with Guinea, praising the strong fraternal bonds that unite the two nations and their peoples. He reiterated Cairo's readiness to offer technical support to Guinea and capacity-building programs through the Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development as part of Egypt's role in supporting development efforts across the African continent.
He invited Kouyat© to participate in the fifth edition of the Aswan Forum for Sustainable Peace and Development, scheduled to be held in Aswan this October.
