Egypt Hosts 6th TransMEA Exhibition, Highlighting Sustainable Development

Cairo: The Egyptian Ministry of Transport is organizing the sixth edition of the TransMEA Smart Transport, Logistics, and Industry Exhibition and Conference under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, from November 9-11, 2025, with the participation of more than 500 companies from 30 countries.

According to State Information Service Egypt, this year's edition, themed 'Industry and Transport Together for Sustainable Development,' emphasizes the crucial link between transport and industry as pivotal forces propelling Egypt's New Republic and aligning with the objectives of Egypt Vision 2030. The event also reflects President El-Sisi's directives to establish Egypt as a regional hub for transport, logistics, transit trade, and industry.

The timing of TransMEA 2025 is notably significant as Egypt undergoes a transformative phase in local manufacturing and transport infrastructure. The industry sector has become a key growth driver, fostering local production, achieving self-sufficiency, and enhancing the competitiveness of Egyptian exports. Concurrently, Egypt's expanding transport network, which includes green mobility, railways, roads, bridges, seaports, land and dry ports, logistics zones, and river transport, is crucial for supporting trade and investment.

The exhibition will showcase a broad array of opportunities, initiatives, and partnerships, along with strategies for export promotion and technology transfer. It will also feature advanced industrial technologies that improve product quality, increase local content, and link component manufacturers with producers of finished goods.

A significant highlight will be the introduction of the Egypt Digital Industrial Platform by the Ministry of Industry, which facilitates the automated allocation of industrial land and units, the issuance of licenses, and the streamlining of procedures across all governorates. An outdoor exhibition area will display the latest transportation models and technologies that mirror Egypt's efforts to localize industry and promote sustainability.

TransMEA seeks to reinforce integration between local industries and supply chains, encouraging partnerships between the public and private sectors and strengthening Egypt's industrial foundation. A dedicated Passive Industry Exhibition will connect importers with local manufacturers to boost domestic production, reduce imports, and conserve foreign currency.

Past editions of the exhibition have successfully fostered the local manufacturing of various production components, enhancing industrial self-reliance and resilience.
